This study examines the prevalence, awareness, treatment and control of hypertension in the Geneva population over a twenty-year period. While certain groups remain at risk, the study shows that the prevalence of hypertension and its control have improved overall, with a reduction in socio-economic disparities.
This study shows that around half of Swiss men have undergone at least one prostate cancer screening. Men with a high socio-economic status are clearly screened more often than those with a lower socio-economic status.
This study assessed trends in dietary intake by gender and level of education between 1993 and 2012 in Geneva. Dietary intake changed in a similar way between 1993 and 2012 in the two education groups. The differences observed between these groups in 1993 persisted in 2012.

In a Swiss region without universal dental insurance cover, the prevalence of people foregoing dental care for economic reasons was high and highly dependent on income. Efforts should be made to prevent high-risk populations from forgoing dental care.
