Specchio
The Specchio (“mirror” in Italian) study aims to better understand and monitor the health status of the Geneva population over time.
URBASAN is rolling out an integrated model for detecting, preventing and managing sleep disorders in Onex. The aim is to sustainably reduce the impact of sleep disorders on public health and create a model that can be replicated in Switzerland.
Sleep is a key indicator of mental and cognitive well-being. To detect sleep disorders and improve the quality of sleep in the population, this project aims to combine a participatory science approach with geographical analysis tools, in order to put in place targeted and effective interventions.
The local authorities involved benefit from analysis tools that reveal specific geographical 'clusters': for example, certain neighbourhoods have a good subjective quality of sleep, but more frequent recourse to medication and a longer delay before falling asleep. These discrepancies between perception and objective measurements pave the way for targeted, validated interventions tailored to local realities.
To take part, you need to fill in a questionnaire on the quality of your sleep on the Specchio Hub platform. The data collected will be analysed confidentially and used exclusively for research purposes and to improve local initiatives.
Participants are then informed of the overall results of the study and of the interventions or workshops proposed in their community.
Each participation helps to improve understanding of needs and to develop appropriate measures.
