In fourteen years, the proportion of the population who forego healthcare for financial reasons has risen from 16% to almost 26%. Long concentrated among the most vulnerable, this phenomenon is now also affecting middle- and high-income households. This is a worrying development, closely linked to the continuing rise in health insurance premiums, and has major consequences for public health.

Weight gain and mental health, hypertension, family carers: new results from UEP studies on the health of Geneva's population
An analysis of data from the SEROCoV-Kids study shows that between 20% and 30% of children and teenagers aged between 3 and 17 do not comply with recommendations on health behaviour (screen time, physical activity, sleep). These results are a wake-up call, and underline the importance of continuing epidemiological surveillance of the health of the very young in order to put in place effective preventive measures.
