Virtual reality makes serology tests easier for children

Some of our studies are being carried out on populations of children and adolescents. This is the case of SEROCoV-KIDS, which is studying the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lives and development of the youngest children. The SEROCoV-KIDS protocol includes one or more blood tests, which can be a source of concern for children and their parents.
Among the tools offered to make these moments more pleasant, the care teams in the Population Epidemiology Unit sometimes use virtual reality headsets. This technology has proved its worth in the field: journalist Grégoire Barbey describes the experience for Heidi.news magazine.
