The Specchio study presented at the 48th World Hospital Congress in Geneva
The Specchio study on display at the 48ᵉ World Hospital Congress in Geneva.
Presented to hospital leaders from over 90 countries, Specchio demonstrates how a population-based cohort can transform healthcare planning: better anticipation of needs, more targeted prevention based on age, gender or socio-economic status, and sustainable cost reductions.
The Specchio study was presented at the 48th World Hospital Congress, organised by the International Hospital Federation (IHF ) from 10 to 12 November 2025. This prestigious event, held for the first time in Geneva, brought together hospital and healthcare executives from over 90 countries.
The Specchio population-based study enables hospitals and decision-makers to better anticipate healthcare needs, optimise prevention through a detailed analysis of differences between population sub-groups (age, gender, socio-economic status) and specific local features, and reduce healthcare costs in the long term.
